No foliage branches. <em>Scilla siberica<\/em> (Siberian squill) or <em>Ornithogalum umbellatum<\/em> (star of Bethlehem) are NOT<\/li>\n<li>Bouquet of <em>Myosotis <\/em>(forget-me-not)<\/li>\n<li><em>Iris<\/em> \u2013 1 scape<\/li>\n<li><em>Lamprocapnos<\/em>, formerly <em>Dicentra<\/em> (bleeding heart) \u2013 1 stem<\/li>\n<li><em>Muscari<\/em> (grape hyacinth) \u2013 3 stems, same cultivar<\/li>\n<li><em>Narcissus<\/em>, trumpet\/large cup, yellow \u2013 1 scape<\/li>\n<li><em>Narcissus<\/em>, trumpet\/large cup, other colour \u2013 1 scape<\/li>\n<li><em>Narcissus<\/em>, multibloom \u2013 1 scape<\/li>\n<li><em>Narcissus<\/em>, other cultivars \u2013 1 scape<\/li>\n<li>Perennial, small, growing height 15\u2033 or under \u2013 3 stems, same cultivar (guidelines p. 3-4)<\/li>\n<li>Perennial, large, growing height over 15&#8243; \u2013 1 stem<\/li>\n<li>Rhubarb \u2013 3 stalks pulled; leaves trimmed to 2&#8243;<\/li>\n<li><em>Syringa<\/em> (lilac) \u2013 1 truss (<em>Syringa vulgaris<\/em>, common lilac NOT allowed)<\/li>\n<li><em>Seedlings <\/em>\u2013 same cultivar, minimum 6 plants \u2013 1 box or tray<\/li>\n<li><em>Tulipa <\/em>(tulip), single red \u2013 1 stem<\/li>\n<li><em>Tulipa <\/em>(tulip), single pink \u2013 1 stem<\/li>\n<li><em>Tulipa <\/em>(tulip), single other colour \u2013 1 stem<\/li>\n<li><em>Tulipa <\/em>(tulip), ruffled or parrot \u2013 1 stem<\/li>\n<li><em>Tulipa<\/em> (tulip), lily flowered \u2013 1 stem<\/li>\n<li><em>Tulipa<\/em> (tulip), species \u2013 1 stem<\/li>\n<li><em>Tulipa<\/em> (tulip), other cultivar \u2013 1 stem<\/li>\n<li>Any other cultivar not listed above (AOC)<sup>3<\/sup> \u2013 1 stem or bloom<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Oakville Horticultural Society Flower Shows<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Horticulture Guidelines<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Exhibitors are allowed three entries in each class, provided each specimen is a different cultivar\/variety\/species.<\/li>\n<li>All entries must be grown by the exhibitor.<\/li>\n<li>Specimens must be shown with their own attached foliage only.<\/li>\n<li>Where three specimens of the same cultivar are asked for, the specimens should be uniform, free of disease or insect damage and at a similar stage of maturity.<\/li>\n<li>Where a definite number of specimens is specified that number must be adhered to.<\/li>\n<li>Buds showing colour are considered blooms.<\/li>\n<li>When a height limit is specified for an annual or perennial, this refers to the growing height of the plant, not the cut length of the specimen.<\/li>\n<li>Houseplants must have been in the possession of the exhibitor for at least three months prior to the show and must not be shown more than once in any six-month period.<\/li>\n<li>Potted plants may have only one cultivar per pot unless stated otherwise.<\/li>\n<li>Plants should be clean and well-groomed.
